THE CHAIRMANS BIT

By the time you read this we will almost be into June, leaving us with just eight short weeks to add the finishing touches to PARTY ON THE REC 2 with this years event being bigger and better than the last.

We have got some great surprises in store, along with some old favourites from last year. So it's all looking good but and it is a big but, we still need your support at all our fundraising events between now and 26th July.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that helped and also came to our Easter Fun Day down at The Crown Inn, and braved all four seasons in one afternoon. I think we all had a good day and were all well fed and watered, judging by the 200 or more sausages and burgers and pots of peas, cooked and served up by the ever supportive committee.

Can I also thank the parents and children that took part in the Easter Bonnet competition and made a fantastic effort and last but not least I would like to thank councillors Lydia Ball and Paul Wilkinson for their help with the judging.

We still have a few fundraising events coming up particularly the CASINO ROYALE night. This event was held last year at The Gardeners Inn proving to be a fantastic success, we hope that we will be able to get the same support this year. There is an awful lot of effort being put into this event by the members of the A C A to make this a brilliant success.

All we need is YOUR SUPPORT because you know it will be a good one.
